Finally! Brunch and porn stars come together at First Food & Bar

Joanna Angel

All this, and mini donuts, too. First Food & Bar knows how to have some brunch.

In the very sexy wake of the Adult Video News Awards and Adult Entertainment Expo, brunch at First Food & Bar this Sunday will involve drinking a Bloody Mary with a “hot fries” rim after clinking glasses with the hot ladies of BurningAngel.com—aka “The home of alt porn/emo porn/tattoo porn/goth porn.” I didn’t know there was such a thing as emo porn, but I’m pretty sure it spices up a plate of breakfast mini-burgers.

The Details

Burnin' Angel Brunch
January 22, 1 p.m.
First Food & Bar inside The Shoppes at the Palazzo, reservations at 607-3478

Called Burnin' Angel Brunch, the event is a creative collaboration of First’s executive chef Sam “Sammy D” DeMarco, the stars of BurningAngel.com and Al Mancini, co-author of Eating Las Vegas: The 50 Essential Restaurants. A release on the event shared Mancini’s special connection to and thoughts about it: “I’ve always been a big fan of Joanna Angel. She was the first punk rock porn superstar and Chef Sammy D stormed the fine dining world in the ’90s with his gourmet junk food. Together, these two pioneers of their trades have created an incredible menu and a totally unique event.”

Guests who buy tickets in advance are welcome to request a table with a particular starlet. Before the sit-down portion, unique appetizers will be passed, including salmon caviar and a mock latke made from smashed tater tots topped with crème fraiche. The four courses that follow—all paired with cocktails—include monkey bread garnished with 151 rum bananas and walnuts, BBQ pork biscuits with over-easy eggs and jalapeño hollandaise, and a “Gutter Punk” sampler of B.L.T. sandwich, wings, mini-burgers, mac & cheese and, of course, mini donuts.

More inventive and cheekily-named dishes and drinks are on the menu, inspired by Joanna Angel and co-stars Jessie Lee, Kleio and Krysta Kaos, who will be on hand and happy to explain the creative process. DJ Antonio Ballatore will provide the soundtrack for this singular dining experience, which is priced at $50 (plus tax and gratuity) and includes a copy of Eating Las Vegas. Literally, it's the whole meal deal.
