Centennial Hills Hospital was on lockdown Monday morning as Metro Police searched for suspects in connection with the armed robbery of a SuperPawn on Cheyenne Avenue, officials said.

Metro spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said an anonymous person called 911 at 9:04 a.m. Monday and reported witnessing at least one masked man enter the SuperPawn in the 6800 block of Cheyenne Avenue, near North Rainbow Boulevard.

Later, the caller saw two people run out of the business, Meltzer said.

Officers responded but arrived after the suspects — described as at least two men and a possible female driver — had left the area, Meltzer said.

Police located a vehicle that possibly had been involved in the incident a short time later in the parking lot of Centennial Hills Hospital, she said. The hospital is about seven miles north of the pawnshop.

It appears police have some suspects in custody, but they are searching for others possibly in the area, Meltzer said. The hospital remained under lockdown as the investigation continued. No injuries were reported.
