    • Nate Hodgson

      Nathaniel W. "Nat" Hodgson III is executive director of the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association, which represents the residential construction industry in the state. A construction industry veteran and longtime member of the association, he replaces Irene Porter, who retired after more than 35 years. Hodgson, the owner of Green Serenity Homes LLC, has been active in the association since 1998, serving on its board of directors and a number of key committees. He was president in 2010. He received the Builder Member of the Year Award in 2006 and a Spike Award for his efforts in recruiting new association members. As a member of the association’s Green Building Committee in the mid-2000s, he was instrumental in the formation of the Southern Nevada Green Building Partnership.

    • Todd Sklamberg

      Todd Sklamberg is CEO of Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center and Sunrise Children’s Hospital. A 20-year veteran of the health care industry, he replaces Sylvia Young, who recently was named president of HCA’s Continental Division in Denver. He had served as the chief operating officer of Sunrise Children’s Hospital since 2008 and had recently been serving as the interim CEO for Sunrise. Prior to joining Sunrise Children’s Hospital, he was vice president of strategic operations and facilities for St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Sklamberg will oversee all the operations for the 700-bed campus that serves Southern Nevada and the surrounding region. It is part of the Sunrise Health System, which includes Sunrise, Sunrise Children’s, MountainView and Southern Hills Hospitals.

    • Richard Lee

      Richard Lee is vice president of director major accounts for Ticor Title of Nevada, and vice president, national major accounts for Fidelity National Title Group. He has 26 years of experience in the real estate industry and has taught real estate development at UNLV. Fidelity National Title Group is a subsidiary of Fidelity National Financial, Inc., which has Ticor Title as one of its brands.

    • Nathan Findlay is the general manager of the Findlay Automotive Group’s new Fiat dealership, which recently opened in the Valley Auto Mall in Henderson. It is the eighth Findlay dealership at Valley Auto Mall, the company’s 15th dealership in the Las Vegas metro area, and its 27th overall. The Findlay organization is headquartered in Henderson.

    • Barry Kauhl is director of informational technology at the Korte Company. He has 22 years of experience.

    • Jim Begley, a founder and principal of the fire protection engineering/code consulting firm TERPconsulting, was recognized in the “40 Under 40” program sponsored by Consulting-Specifying Engineer Magazine.

    • Donna Namchek is business manager of Imagine Communications, a marketing and communications firm. She previously served in contracting positions for Inclination Software Inc. and Casino Data Imaging.

    • Nicola Kerslake is vice president of commercialization for the Nevada Institute for Renewable Energy Commercialization. She has been involved with NIREC for several years, most recently as lead entrepreneur-in-residence. Before that, she spent more than 15 years with global financial organizations in Asia, Europe and North America.

    • Tamara Lelyk is a senior human resource consultant and Ibo Olmeztoprak is vice president of global business development for Prism Global Management Group.

    • Las Vegas honored Al and Hattie Hollingsworth by proclaiming April 12 “B.O.S.S. Kingdompreneur” Day in recognition of their international leadership and success training programs. The Hollingsworths were recognized for their outstanding contribution to the community and for ranking among America’s top business and community leaders.

      Cale Ramaker and Shauna Khorrami are the morning anchor team for 8 News Now and KLAS-TV. Effective July 30, they will appear on newscasts from 4 to 7 a.m. Ramaker comes to Las Vegas after seven years at WOFL-TV in Orlando, Fla. Khorrami was previously a morning anchor at KSTU-TV in Salt Lake City.

    • Jack Mishel

      Jack Mishel is senior vice president and senior lending officer for Meadows Bank. He was previously with Bank of Nevada and has 28 years of banking and business experience.

    • Tali Arik, a veteran cardiologist, has joined Cardiovascular Consultants of Nevada HealthCare Partners Cardiology, a physician-led group providing specialty care in Southern Nevada. He was previously with Nevada Heart and Vascular and has 26 years of cardiology experience.

    • Debbie Landry

      Debbie Landry is owner of Redhead Marketing LLC, a marketing and advertising consulting firm for small businesses. She has more than 25 years in marketing, advertising, trade shows, public relations and publishing.

    • Mark Fine has been named the 2012 Education Hero by the Public Education Foundation. He will receive the award at its annual dinner on Sept. 22. The Foundation will also honor Charles and Phyllis Frias with the Lifetime Education Achievement Award and Annemarie L. Jones as its Champion of Children.

    • Community Associations Institute, Nevada Chapter, is seeking nominations for its new “Ordinary People — Extraordinary Measures” 2012 awards program, aimed at bringing recognition to Nevada residents who have shown remarkable efforts and acts toward others. Nominations will be accepted through July 15 and should be sent to CAI at 9171 W. Flamingo Road Ste. 100, Las Vegas, NV 89171, or submitted via email to [email protected] or faxed to 240-9690. The awards luncheon will be at 11 a.m. Sept. 11 at Gold Coast.

    • The North Las Vegas City Hall and Civic Plaza, part of the city’s downtown revitalization effort, has been named 2012 Public Works Project of the Year by the American Public Works Association. Designed by Fentress Architects, the project was chosen for its construction management techniques and environmental sensitivity.

    • The Korte Company has been selected to complete the 54,000-square-foot tenant improvement project of the Discovery Children’s Museum, which is being renamed the Donald W. Reynolds Children’s Discovery Museum and will be located in the Symphony Park complex. When completed, it will offer nine exhibitions for traveling exhibits and a tower that will allow children to climb and explore more than eight levels.

    • Rebuilding Together has earned a 4-star rating for the eighth consecutive year from Charity Navigator, the nation’s largest charity evaluator. Rebuilding Together’s mission is to renovate homes for needy individuals and families. Rebuilding Together was recognized as being operated in a fiscally exceptional manner. The organization has reported that 86.6 percent of all dollars raised are spent on direct program expenses.
