A man was shot multiple times Sunday night near the Boulevard Mall, according to Metro Police.
The shooting occurred around 11 p.m. on the 3600 block of Cambridge Street, west of Maryland Parkway and Desert Inn Road, said Lt. Patrick Charone, a Metro watch commander. Someone had fired several rounds through the front door of the apartment, hitting the occupant four or five times.
The man was transported to Sunrise Hospital. His condition was unknown, Charone said.
The shooting may be gang-related, so Metro's Gang Crimes Bureau is investigating, he said. Anyone with information is encouraged to leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
