Hiker's car found
The search for a 64-year-old hiker who had been missing since Wednesday morning ended mid-morning Thursday with the discovery of his body.
Henderson Police said James Klever was found dead from an apparent fall.
Klever's body was found about 10:30 a.m. at the bottom of a ravine on Black Mountain, police said.
He had left his home about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday but he did not return home. His wife contacted police about 7 p.m. to report Klever’s disappearance.
Klever’s car was found Wednesday on Pancho Via Drive at Horizon Ridge Parkway, next to a desert area leading to Black Mountain, police said.
Henderson officers, K-9 units and Metro’s Search and Rescue unit participated in the search Wednesday and Thursday.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will determine the cause of death; however, no foul play is suspected, police said.
