The jackpot winner, identified only as Tamara, was playing a penny Wheel of Fortune machine. Many slot players have favorite machines, and this was Tamara's.
After playing for three hours Monday evening, she decided to give the machine a few more spins, an Orleans spokeswoman said. That's when she hit the progressive jackpot of $2,256,246.45.
