Desert Pines High senior point guard Julian Jacobs will sign a letter of intent Tuesday with USC, Jaguars coach Mike Uzan said.

Jacobs, who de-committed from Utah in August, also had scholarship offers from St. Mary’s and Santa Clara.

Last year, the 6-foot-3 guard averaged 12.6 points, 5.9 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game.

He’s rated as a three-star recruit by Rivals.com on its scale of five evaluating stars. ESPN ranks him as the nation’s 36th best point guard and Nevada’s No. 3 overall recruit for 2013 — ranking that include players from national powerhouse Findlay Prep. Last year, he averaged 12.6 points, 5.9 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game for Desert Pines.
