Man shot to death outside apartment; six suspects arrested

Metro Police arrested six people involved in a shooting and killing a man early Wednesday outside the Pinewood Apartments, east of the Las Vegas Strip, Metro Police said.

Dispatchers received multiple calls reporting gunfire about 12:40 a.m., police said.

The victim was seen running away on Swenson Street, near Twain Avenue, then collapsed in a nearby parking lot, police said. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police said a preliminary investigation revealed that a group of men and women were arguing and seen running away from the area.

Police arrested Michael White, 32, on charges of murder with a deadly weapon and accessory to murder with a deadly weapon. They also arrested 33-year-old Ivory Davis, 24-year-old Ricknisha Herrington, 23-year-old Diamond Bevans and 25-year-old Denise Rainer on charges of accessory to murder with a deadly weapon. Derrick Beasley, 26, was arrested and charged with accessory to a crime.

All six were booked at the Clark County Detention Center.
