An accident that involved a motorcycle and a car Tuesday evening has shut down part of the Las Vegas Beltway in the western valley, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred shortly after 5:30 p.m. near the beltway and Lone Mountain Road intersection, Trooper Loy Hixson said.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to University Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries, Hixson said.
The northbound beltway was shut down until 7:05 p.m. between Ann Road and Lone Mountain Road, Hixson said.
