Metro Police investigate stabbing in central valley

Metro Police are investigating a stabbing incident early Tuesday in the central valley.

At 5:58 a.m., police received a call from a woman who wanted officers present as she retrieved belongings from a residence in the 2800 block of South Decatur Boulevard, Metro spokesman Tom Clevenger said.

Responding officers found a man with a minor stab wound to the stomach, police said. It was not clear where the man was found.

The victim was uncooperative when police asked him about the stabbing, Clevenger said. The victim was transported to University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
