A man was injured at Lake Mead National Recreation Area after falling from a boat just north of the Hoover Dam.
About noon Tuesday, a passenger on the boat called Metro Police to request assistance for a man who had been thrown from the vessel after the boat had experienced a mechanical issue. Emergency personnel from the National Park Service and the Nevada Department of Wildlife treated the man at the scene, and he was flown to University Medical Center.
The man is in critical condition, and the incident is under investigation.
