An NV Energy employee who fell 100 feet to his death while working on power lines has been identified as Herbie Dempsey Goforth III, the Clark County Coroner’s Office said.
The 29-year-old Las Vegas man apparently fell to his death Tuesday, though the coroner has not yet released a cause of death.
Goforth fell from a tower in the 18000 block of Las Vegas Boulevard North, not far from Apex Industrial Park, Metro Police spokesman Jose Hernandez said.
A coworker reported the accident to police, Hernandez said. Police responded, along with a medical transport helicopter, but Goforth was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
It was unclear how he fell from the tower.
