Police release video in search for sexual assault suspect

Metro Police are searching for a man who sexually assaulted a 22-year-old woman near Paradise and Desert Inn roads on Sept. 1.

Metro Police officials said the woman was making her way back to her hotel room near 3000 Joe W. Brown Drive when she was assaulted. Security officers later found the victim frantically running down a roadway barefoot and shouting for help.

Officials said video captured the suspect fleeing in the opposite direction. Additional video surveillance at the Riviera Hotel and Casino showed the suspect walking on Las Vegas Boulevard before the assault.

Officials said the suspect is a 5-foot-7, 190-pound Hispanic man with short hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a gray, long-sleeve, button-down dress shirt over a white T-shirt, black pants and black shoes.
