The Las Vegas 51s were handed their first loss of the season Sunday, giving up six runs in the seventh inning for an 8-4 loss at the Sacramento RiverCats.
The 51s (3-1) scored a pair of runs in the seventh and eighth innings, but it wasn’t enough to complete the four-game series sweep.
Juan Lagares and Josh Satin each went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI for the 51s. Pitcher Dylan Owen suffered the loss, surrendering two home runs and five total runs in 2/3 of an inning.
Las Vegas returns to action Monday to open a four-game series at the Fresno Grizzlies. They return home to Cashman Field on Friday for the season opener.
