51s can’t complete the series sweep at Sacramento, lose for first time in 2013

The Las Vegas 51s were handed their first loss of the season Sunday, giving up six runs in the seventh inning for an 8-4 loss at the Sacramento RiverCats.

The 51s (3-1) scored a pair of runs in the seventh and eighth innings, but it wasn’t enough to complete the four-game series sweep.

Juan Lagares and Josh Satin each went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI for the 51s. Pitcher Dylan Owen suffered the loss, surrendering two home runs and five total runs in 2/3 of an inning.

Las Vegas returns to action Monday to open a four-game series at the Fresno Grizzlies. They return home to Cashman Field on Friday for the season opener.
