Las Vegas 51s infielder Josh Satin hits during batting practice at Cashman Field Tuesday, April 2, 2013. The 51s open the season Thursday against the RiverCats at Sacramento. This is the first year the 51s are affiliated with the Mets.

Jamie Hoffmann’s run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning Monday scored Josh Satin to give the Las Vegas 51s a 4-3 victory at the Fresno Grizzlies.

Satin, who finished with three hits and is batting .476 for the five-game season, opened the ninth with a double to left field. Two batters later, Hoffmann’s single to center scored Satin with the winning run to give Las Vegas (4-1) its fourth win in five road games to open the season.

Despite allowing two hits and putting the tying run in scoring position, Jeurys Familia pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save. Reliever Jake Dunning struck out two batters in two innings to collect the win.

Las Vegas trailed 3-2 entering the sixth inning, but evened the game on a two-out RBI single by Satin to score Travis d’Arnaud.

Las Vegas returns to action Tuesday at Fresno in the second game of the four-game series. Friday, the 51s have their home opener at Cashman Field against Colorado Springs.
