51s back on track, win another at Memphis

Fueled by a five-run fourth inning, the Las Vegas 51s beat host Memphis Monday, 5-2.

Francisco Pena had a three-run home run in the scoring outburst, and Zach Lutz had a two-run double to help the first-place 51s (62-53) win for the second straight night. They had lost five straight, including a four-game sweep at Nashville, to open the road trip.

Chris Schwinden (5-9) surrendered one earned run in six innings for the win. Four Las Vegas relievers combined to limit Memphis to two hits in the final four innings, including Greg Burke striking out two batters in the ninth for the save.

The series continues at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday in Memphis. The 51s return home Thursday against Oklahoma City.
