Carson City —
Former Nevada Assemblyman and newspaper columnist Bob Thomas died Aug. 10 in Carson City. He was 87.
Thomas wrote a column in the Nevada Appeal and in the one last week he detailed his life and said it would be his last column. In today’s Appeal, Thomas posthumously said goodbye to his friends.
A former businessman, he served on the Carson City School Board and three terms in Legislature as a Republican assemblyman from Carson City.
A funeral will be Monday at St. Mary’s in the Mountain in Virginia City.
