Metro Police are asking for help identifying a man who committed two armed robberies in the past week in the northwest valley.
Police said the robberies occurred about 5 miles apart, one at a convenience store and another at a retail store.
One happened near Tenaya Way and Azure Drive, and the other location was near Cheyenne Avenue and Durango Drive, police said.
The suspect — described as an 18- to 22-year-old man — enters the business and heads directly to the counter, where he shows a gun and demands money, police said. He then flees on foot.
He was last seen wearing a hat, sunglasses, striped hoodie sweatshirt, blue jeans, gloves and black shoes. Authorities estimate he is 5 feet 6 inches tall and 140 pounds.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Metro’s robbery section at 702-828-3591. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or visit www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
