Metro Police are investigating an incident in the northwest valley where a homeowner shot a possible burglar Monday afternoon.
The shooting was reported at 3:21 p.m. in the 3600 block of Marmalade Lane, near Rainbow Boulevard and Gowan Road, Officer Larry Hadfield said.
Initial reports indicate that a homeowner shot a suspected burglar, Hadfield said.
The intruder was taken into custody and transported to University Medical Center in unknown condition, Hadfield said, although at some point he was conscious and spoke to officers.
Police are still investigating the incident, Hadfield said.
