Updated Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 | 9:08 a.m.

A juvenile suffered minor injuries when hit by a car while walking in a crosswalk with other family members, Metro Police said.

Police responded about 7:30 a.m. to the incident.

Initial reports indicated four people were hit by a car, but it is unclear if anyone else was struck, Metro spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said.

The juvenile was transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.

Eastbound Harmon Avenue at Mountain Vista Street was closed to traffic while Metro investigated the incident.

The driver remained at the scene and was not suspected of being impaired by alcohol or drugs, Meltzer said.
