A woman was arrested today on a count of arson after she set her boyfriend’s clothes on fire in a bathtub and the blaze spread, causing an estimated $15,000 damage, Clark County Fire Department officials said.
The woman reported that she set fire to the clothes because of a domestic dispute, officials said.
The woman, whose name was not immediately released, was arrested and booked at the Clark County Detention Center on a count of first-degree arson, fire officials said.
Firefighters responded about 1:10 a.m. today to the blaze at 7565 Camero Ave., near Buffalo Drive and Wigwam Avenue. An alarm company called a resident at the home, who advised to “send the fire truck,” officials said.
Firefighters found the fire spreading in a second-floor bathroom, officials said.
The fire severely damaged the bathroom and burned through a water line, causing water and drywall damage on the first floor, officials said.
