Metro seeks details in how unconscious man came to be in park restroom

South Tower Park

Detectives with Metro Police’s Violent Crimes Detail are trying to piece together what happened to a man who was found unconscious earlier this month in a Las Vegas park.

The unconscious white male adult was discovered about 2:35 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, in a men’s restroom at Northwest Area Community Park. The park, known as “South Tower Park,” is in the Vistas Housing Development near West Charleston Boulevard and Vista Run Drive.

The man appeared to be suffering from a head injury and was transported to a local hospital by arriving medical personnel.

The man’s injuries have prevented him from assisting with the investigation into this incident, and the cause of his injuries remains unknown, prompting detectives to seek the public’s assistance in the investigation.

Police describe the man as approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall, 220 pounds with short blonde hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a medium grey beanie, a medium grey jogging suit with white stripes down the legs, a light grey tee shirt and blue tennis shoes. The last known contact with the man was approximately 11 a.m. Dec. 15 when he left his nearby residence to go jogging in the park where he was found.

Anyone who may have seen this man on the day of the incident or who may have any information about what may have occurred is urged to contact the Violent Crimes Detail at 702-828-5634, or to remain anonymous contact Crime Stoppers, 702-385-5555.
