Living or dead, what person do you admire the most?

My dad — he provided for our family and taught me about loyalty.

What is the best quality you like about a person?

Consistency of character and loyalty.

What are you currently reading?

"The Untethered Soul" by Michael Singer.

How do you prefer to get your news and literature: digital or hard copy?

Digital.

What is your most recognizable characteristic?

I never give up.

Which words or phrases do you overuse?

Terrific.

What makes you happy?

Spending quality time with my family and friends.

What is your most prized possession?

Family photos from when my kids were growing up.

What is your most embarrassing moment as a prominent figure?

Not embarrassing, disappointed for our seniors losing to Fresno State on Senior Day.

If you could make up the Nevada state motto, what would it be?

Together we achieve and excel.

What is your greatest accomplishment in 2013?

51 wins in first two years (as staff), seven more than any others at UNLV (in history).

Any regrets this past year?

Always regret time constraints of job don't allow spending more time with (my) kids.

What is your top priority moving into 2014?

Continue the progress we have made toward making our program nationally significant.
