Chronic Tacos opening restaurant at the Palms

Chronic Tacos, a popular California fast food chain, plans to open its first casino restaurant in April at the Palms.

Known for serving generations-old Mexican recipes in large portions, the chain has about three dozen restaurants, including one in Summerlin at Village Center Circle.

Chronic Tacos will join the Eatery food court at the Palms, next to the Earl of Sandwich, which opened this past summer, and the Brenden Theatres.

The company, based in San Clemente, Calif., has built its reputation for using fresh ingredients and an assembly line approach to its made-to-order tacos, burritos and tamales. The menu provides vegetarian selections, including potato tacos. The restaurants also serve beer and wine.

Its first restaurant opened in 2002 at Newport Beach and quickly branched out to other beach communities, before spreading throughout California and British Columbia. Last spring, Chronic Tacos began serving baseball fansat Angels Stadium.
