Wilmer Flores had five hits and three runs scored Tuesday for the Las Vegas 51s in a 12-2 victory against visiting Fresno.
Flores had hits in his initial four at-bats, including a pair of doubles and an RBI. He’s batting .320 on the season and was recently named to the Pacific Coast League all-star team.
Ike Davis gave the 51s the lead for good in the first inning with a two-run home run. Rylan Sandoval had three RBIs and two runs scored, Brandon Hicks went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and Brian Bixler and Juan Centeno each had two hits and two runs scored.
The series continues at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, which is franchise’s popular Fireworks Extravaganza to celebrate Independence Day.
