A one-car accident on Interstate 15 resulted in the death of a motorist Sunday evening.
A man was driving north in a Mazda RX-8 coupe when he lost control of the vehicle around 8:30 p.m. near the Charleston Boulevard exit, Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Loy Hixson said. The vehicle overturned. The man was pulled from the car and taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, Hixson said.
Two lanes of traffic on I-15 were briefly closed due to the incident, he said.
The driver has yet to be identified, and no further details about the accident were available Monday morning.
