When five-star 2014 basketball recruit Dwayne Morgan visited UNLV in early February for a home game against New Mexico, the fans at the Thomas & Mack Center won him over.

The 6-foot-7 forward from St. Frances Academy in Baltimore picked the Rebels Wednesday over hometown schools Georgetown and Maryland. In a video of the announcement posted on Youtube, he called UNLV the right fit.

“The fans there are crazy,” said Morgan, the nation’s No. 13 overall recruiting prospect for his class by Rivals.com. “When I went there, they treated me like I was from there.”

Morgan credited UNLV coaches for making him a priority on the recruiting trail and constantly attending his games. If you a Rebel fan in need of a pick-me-up after the premature exit from last week's NCAA Tournament, Morgan's comments will definitely make you feel better about yourself.

“UNLV pretty much because when I went on my visit, I felt like I was at home,” Morgan said.
