Four killed when wrong-way driver crashes into van

Four people were killed Sunday night on U.S. 95 in Nye County in a head-on collision that engulfed both vehicles in flames.

The Nevada Highway Patrol reported that a Buick sedan was heading north in a southbound lane when it hit a Toyota van about 10:40 p.m.

Three people in the van and the driver of the Buick were killed.

Extensive fire damage has prevented the immediate identification of the vehicles and victims, authorities said.

Further details will be forthcoming, authorities said.
