A man suffered severe injuries early Wednesday morning when he was hit by a cab while crossing the street outside a marked crosswalk.
The accident happened about 12:40 a.m. near Las Vegas Boulevard and Sands Avenue, Metro Police Officer Laura Meltzer said. She did not know which street the man was crossing.
He was taken to University Medical Center.
