The Las Vegas 51s were defeated 8-5 Tuesday by the Albuquerque Isotopes in the final game of a four-game Pacific Coast League series and eight-game homestand at Cashman Field.
The early afternoon game was part of the 10th Annual School Day and drew 11,522 fans, 8,800 of whom were area fifth-graders.
Albuquerque scored four runs in the top of the first inning to take the lead for good to earn a split in the series.
Zach Lutz went 3-for-4 with a run scored to lead Las Vegas, which also received two hits — including a triple — from Eric Campbell.
Las Vegas (18-19) is off Wednesday and begins a four-game series Thursday at the Omaha Royals. They return home May 24 to face Salt Lake.
