The Las Vegas Wranglers broke a 5-game losing streak with a 2-1 victory over the Fort Wayne Komets on Saturday night.

Wranglers defenseman Jeff May scored on a power play with a booming shot from the point near the end of the first period.

Fort Wayne would net its only goal in the second period, scored by right winger Brandon Marino, his third of the season.

Las Vegas took back the lead on a seeing-eye shot from by defenseman Greg Coburn from the left face-off circle that beat Komets goaltender Andrey Makarov, giving the Wranglers a 2-1 lead. The goal by Coburn would stand as the game-winner as Wranglers goaltender Travis Fullerton stood tall in the third period, stopping all nine Komets shots to earn his third victory of the season.

The teams face off tomorrow in a 2:05 p.m. matinee game to complete the three-game homestand for the Wranglers. Fans are invited to skate with the Wranglers following the game.
