Coroner IDs man shot after breaking into girlfriend’s apartment

Man shot, killed

A man shot to death Sunday morning after he broke into his girlfriend’s apartment was identified today as Frank Brzozowski, 49, of Henderson, the Clark County Coroner’s Office said.

Brzozowski was shot before 2 a.m. at an apartment complex on Green Valley Parkway, near Warm Springs Road, by a neighbor who was at Brzozowski’s estranged girlfriend’s apartment, Henderson Police spokesman Keith Paul said.

The woman was afraid Brzozowski would show up and had her friend come over for safety, police said. Brzozowski allegedly attempted to break in through the door, before climbing in through a window, Paul said.

The neighbor warned Brzozowski to stop, but when he continued to advance, the neighbor fired several shots, killing Brzozowski, Paul said.

The shooter was not arrested, while the Clark County District Attorney’s Office determines whether any charges are warranted.
