Motorcyclist killed in crash with car in Henderson

A 51-year-old man riding a motorcycle died this morning in a crash with a car in Henderson.

Henderson Police said the accident happened at 7:01 a.m. at the intersection of Horizon Ridge Parkway and Rich Perez Jr. Drive.

A preliminary investigation indicates a Dodge Neon driven by a 17-year-old was traveling west on Horizon Ridge Parkway and turned left in front of the motorcycle, police said.

The motorcycle was traveling east on Horizon Ridge Parkway.

The collision ejected the motorcyclist, causing critical injuries, police said. The Henderson man was taken to St. Rose Dominican Hospital-Siena Campus, where he died a short time later.

The teen driver of the Dodge Neon was not injured, police said.

The crash is under investigation.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will identify the victim, pending notification of his family.

The death was the sixth traffic-related fatality in Henderson this year.
