U.S. 93 was shut down near Boulder City because of a vehicle fire, transportation officials reported.
An alert issued by the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada about 7:20 p.m. cautioned motorists about the incident and urged them to use alternate routes. The fire erupted on U.S. 93 just before U.S. 95. A second alert from about 8:10 p.m. said the highway was reopened but warned of continued traffic delays.
No other details about the incident were available immediately.
