A woman shot to death at a Henderson home earlier this week was identified today as Cherish Noelle Pincombe, Clark County Coroner’s Office officials said.

Pincombe, 23, of Las Vegas, died Tuesday from a gunshot wound to the head after Colin Lowrey allegedly pointed a gun he thought was unloaded at her head and pulled the trigger, Henderson Police spokesman Keith Paul said.

Lowrey told police the shooting happened while he was playing with a semiautomatic handgun at his house in the 700 block of Taliput Palm Place, near Sunset and Gibson Roads. Lowrey called 911 and reported that the gun went off by accident, Paul said.

Coroner’s officials ruled Pincombe’s death a homicide.

Paul said the Clark County district attorney would decide what charges Lowrey might face.
