Fire blamed for $40,000 in damage to NLV business


A fire erupted this afternoon at a North Las Vegas garage door business, causing an estimated $40,000 worth of damage.

Capt. Cedric Williams with the North Las Vegas Fire Department said the blaze broke out at 12:19 p.m. at a building in the 2200 block of Crestline Loop, just west of Interstate 15.

Crews put out flames within 8 minutes of arriving at the location; no one was hurt. The fire of the cause has not been determined.
