Woman critically injured in motorcycle crash in NLV

A motorcyclist and passenger were injured in a collision with a car this morning in North Las Vegas.

North Las Vegas Police responded about 4 a.m. to the crash on Lake Mead Boulevard near Pecos Road.

A 26-year-old man driving a motorcycle with a 20-year-old female passenger was traveling east on Lake Mead when it crashed into the car, North Las Vegas Police Officer Aaron Patty said.

The female passenger was transported to University Medical Center with critical injuries, and the man was taken to UMC with injuries that did not appear life threatening, officials said.

Lake Mead Boulevard is closed in both directions from Belmont Street to Pecos Road, Patty said.
