letter to the editor:

Using Bundy as a distraction

Regarding the Nevada rancher and his long court battle against the Bureau of Land Management: This could of been handled much easier by the feds. A lien by the government on his property would have guaranteed payment sooner or later. I read comments saying Cliven Bundy is “only interested in the laws that are convenient for him.” What does that remind you of? The current administration in Washington bring anything to mind?

As far as the desert tortoise, I suspect that’s not the reason why the government sent almost 100 armed men with dogs and armored trucks to the scene. The land is valuable; we may see Harry Reid and his family involved.

Why not send armed federal people to secure the southern border? Why not send armed troops to Benghazi, Libya, when we had four citizens die. Was that not as important as Bundy and cows on BLM land?
