A robbery took place at Wet ’n’ Wild early Monday before the water park opened for business, Metro Police said.

The incident occurred about 5 a.m., police said, hours before the park opened its gates for guests at 10 a.m.

Police refused to release any additional details about the incident, which is under investigation.

A statement issued by the park said there was “a security incident” and that nobody was injured.

Park management is working with police and deferred any further comment to Metro as to not hinder the investigation, officials said.

“Park operations have not been affected and will continue its regular operating schedule,” the statement said.

Wet ’n’ Wild, 7055 S. Fort Apache Road, is in its second season of operation.
