Here’s a look at some of the roadwork or road closings you might encounter in the coming week across the Las Vegas Valley:
SHORT-TERM PROJECTS
Nevada Department of Transportation
Grier ramp, accessed from westbound and eastbound Sunset Road (State Route 562), heading toward the Airport Connector (State Route 171): closed beginning at 5 a.m. Sunday for guardrail and flood damage repairs. End date:noon Sunday.
Interstate 15 southbound ramp to U.S. 95 and the I-15 southbound ramp to Washington Avenue: closed beginning at 8 p.m. Sunday to install high-mast lighting, barrier rail and traffic-control devices, and restriping lanes. End date: 5 a.m. Monday.
Interstate 15 northbound off-ramp to D Street and the eastbound U.S. 95 ramp to northbound I-15: : closed beginning at 8 p.m. Tuesday and 8 p.m. Wednesday to install high-mast lighting, barrier rail and traffic-control devices, and restriping lanes. End date: 5 a.m. Tuesday and 5 a.m. Wednesday.
Northbound Buffalo Drive on-ramp to northbound U.S. 95: closed starting at 9 p.m. Sunday to prepare for widening of U.S. 95 from Ann Road to Durango Drive. Traffic will be detoured to the Durango Drive on-ramp to U.S. 95 northbound. End date:5 a.m. Friday.
ONGOING PROJECTS
Nevada Department of Transportation
F Street Connection Phase 3 — Interstate 15 between Washington Avenue and U.S. 95: I-15 on-ramp at D Street is closed; southbound lanes on I-15 have been moved to the northbound side and limited to two lanes in both directions. Projected end date: summer.
Clark County
Sahara Avenue Bridge over Desert Rose Golf Course: closed as part of the Las Vegas Wash and Flamingo Wash improvements. Projected end date: September.
Nellis Boulevard south of Sahara Avenue to pedestrian bridge of Flamingo Arroyo Trail: one lane will be closed due to construction on the Las Vegas Wash project. Projected end date: early September.
Lamb Boulevard between Owens Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard: various lanes will be closed intermittently for a street and sidewalk improvement project. Projected end date: mid-September.
Desert Inn Road between McLeod Drive and Mojave Road: various lanes will be closed for a street and sidewalk improvement project. Projected end date: early September.
Las Vegas
Main Street between Carson Avenue and U.S. 95: east half of the road will be closed to traffic for reconstruction of drainage facilities, sidewalk and roadway. Two-way traffic will be on the west side of Main Street with one travel lane in each direction.Projected end date: 2015.
Rancho Drive between Sahara Avenue and U.S. 95: intermittent lane closures while fiber optic cables, traffic signal upgrades and digital message signs are installed to improve congestion. Work will be completed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. in busy sections of the road and from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in residential sections. Projected end date: mid-November.
Hills Center Drive between Village Center Circle and Lake Mead Boulevard: street disruption for landscaping; expect delays. Projected end date: indefinite.
Vegas Drive between Rancho Drive and Jones Boulevard: street disruption; expect delays. Projected end date: Aug. 30.
Fremont Street from 14th Street to 25th Street: street disruption; expect traffic delays. Projected end date: Saturday.
Racel Street between Grazing Grass Street and El Capitan Way: street disruption; expect delays. Projected end date: Oct. 28.
North Las Vegas
Carey Avenue and Revere Street: intermittent street disruptions while a roundabout is removed and replaced with traffic lights. Projected end date: fall.
Losee Road and Lone Mountain Road: expect street disruptions while a pedestrian bridge is being built. Projected end date: fall.
