Despite being blanked at Omaha, 51s still comfortably in first place

51s should clinch Triple-A league title next week at home against New Orleans

The Las Vegas 51s were limited to four hits today in a 4-0 loss at Omaha.

Omaha’s Carlos Peguero hit a pair of home runs, helping Omaha score twice in the fourth and sixth innings.

Matt Reynolds led Las Vegas with two hits, while Allan Dykstra and Anthony Seratelli each had one. All four of the hits were singles.

The series continues Monday and Tuesday in Omaha. Wednesday, the 51s return to Cashman Field to begin a series with New Orleans, the Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins.

The 51s (72-58) have the best record in the Pacific Coast League and a double digit lead over El Paso in the Pacific Southern Division. They should clinch division title next week at home.
