A teacher’s aide at Hafen Elementary in Pahrump was arrested today after she allegedly hurt two children at the campus.
Nye County sheriff’s deputies rushed to the school about 9:30 a.m. after the children reported that “physical force was used against them” by Diane Allen, 59, according to a statement issued by the department. Although a teacher reportedly witnessed the incident, officials did not say on Tuesday how Allen had hurt the kids or how old the victims are.
Deputies arrested Allen on two counts of child abuse.
School district officials could not be reached late Tuesday.
