Teen killed when dirt bike collides with vehicle south of Boulder City

A 14-year-old boy died this afternoon after his motorized dirt bike crashed with another vehicle south of Las Vegas.

Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Loy Hixson said the bike crashed with another vehicle about 2:30 p.m. on State Route 165 near U.S. 95, west of Nelson’s Landing, about 14 miles south of Boulder City.

No other details about the wreck were available immediately. It was not clear this afternoon whether the boy was riding on the road or next to it.

No other injuries were reported.
