A FedEx delivery truck caught fire in a crash with a pickup truck on Eastern Avenue tonight, prompting Metro Police to shut down part of the road for several hours.
Lt. Mark Reddon said the pickup hit the Fedex truck about 9:30 p.m. on Eastern Avenue at Oquendo Road. The driver of the pickup had cuts on his head, but no one was critically injured, he said.
Police shut down the northbound and southbound lanes of Eastern at the intersection and expected to reopen the road by about 12:45 a.m.
No other details were immediately available.
