Woman arrested after crashing into pedestrians on Charleston

Pedestrians hit

A woman suspected of driving while intoxicated crashed into two pedestrians this afternoon and seriously injured both, Metro Police said.

Analisa Gardea, 24, was traveling east on Charleston Boulevard just east of 28th Street when she drove off the road and crashed into two women walking along a sidewalk, traffic investigators said.

Gardea’s Lincoln Navigator then knocked over a light pole and came to a stop after hitting a tree.

Both pedestrians were rushed to University Medical Center with serious injuries.

Gardea was arrested shortly after the crash about 3:30 p.m. She was booked the Clark County Detention Center on suspicion of driving under the influence of narcotics.
