Henderson man kills wife, then dies of overdose, police say

Updated Monday, Jan. 27, 2014 | 9:01 a.m.

A 44-year-old Henderson man shot and killed his wife before killing himself with an apparent drug overdose Saturday, Henderson Police spokeswoman Nicole Johnson said.

Clark County Coroner’s Office officials identified the man as Wade Elliott Adams. The woman’s name has not been released.

Henderson Police responded about 11 a.m. to reports of the man’s daughter crying outside a home at 631 Karen Way, near Van Wagenen Street and Major Avenue.

The girl told officers that her father had left the keys to his truck and money at her home. When she went to the home, she found him dead inside, Johnson said.

Officers discovered the 39-year-old wife dead along with her husband, Johnson said. The couple had lived alone in the house and did not have a history of domestic violence.

Clark County Coroner’s Office will release their names after their families have been notified.
