A woman was critically injured late Tuesday after being struck by a car while she walked across Las Vegas Boulevard South outside a marked crosswalk.
Metro Police responded about 10:30 p.m. to the collision at Las Vegas Boulevard near Reno Avenue. Metro Lt. Mark Reddon said the woman, in her 20s, was hit by a white sedan, whose driver remained at the scene while police investigate.
The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, Reddon said.
Police closed northbound traffic on Las Vegas Boulevard from Reno to Tropicana Avenue while officers investigate, Reddon said.
