A man accused of inappropriately touching a young boy last month is now facing additional charges of possessing and producing child pornography, Metro Police announced Wednesday afternoon.

Henderson resident Bryan Hargrave, 40, was rebooked by detectives Wednesday on two counts of producing child pornography with a child under 14 and three counts of possession of child pornography.

For years, Hargrave is said to have befriended primarily single mothers with sons who played hockey at Fiesta Rancho's hockey rink. He became so close to a 39-year-old mother and her son and daughter that they called him "Uncle Bryan."

But on June 16, the mother called police after her son told her that Hargrave had touched him inappropriately on four occasions when he had come over to their house. The mother also told another man, who confronted Hargrave over the phone.

While Metro investigators arrived at the mother's house to interview the family, Hargrave attempted to kill himself by slitting his wrists at a home on the 1100 block of Paradise River Road. He was detained by Henderson Police and treated at University Medical Center before being transferred to Clark County Detention Center, where he is currently housed.
