The body of a Las Vegas man who fell off a boat at Lake Mead on Wednesday night was recovered this afternoon, National Park Service officials said.

Metro Police divers recovered the 36-year-old man’s body about 2 p.m. in 15 feet of water near the Callville Bay Marina, not far from where he disappeared, authorities said.

Park rangers and security members responded to the scene after receiving a call that a man had been drinking and had fallen off the front of the boat about 9 p.m., according to the National Park Service.

Metro joined the search today.

The cause of death and identity of the man has not been released. An investigation is ongoing, officials said.
