Two young adults and a juvenile are in custody after a man lured by a personal ad on Craigslist was tied up, beaten and robbed, Henderson Police announced today.

A 43-year-old man who answered an ad intending to meet a man Tuesday at Trail Canyon Park instead encountered three: Christopher Short, 20, Trent Henrickson, 18, and a 16-year-old male, police said.

The three suspects and the victim walked to a nearby vacant house, where the suspects demanded the man’s property. When the victim did not comply, he was tied up and beaten by the suspects, who made off with his wallet, cellphone and car, police said.

The victim was able to free himself after a few minutes and walked to the Henderson Chevrolet car dealership on Gibson Road, where he called police.

Officers used the Chevrolet Volt's OnStar GPS technology to locate the car, parked near Stephanie Street and Wigwam Parkway, and set up surveillance. A short time later, Short and the 16-year-old suspect returned to the vehicle and were arrested without incident on Tuesday, police said.

Henderson Police identified the third suspect, Henrickson, and arrested him today at about 1:30 p.m.

Henrickson and Short were taken to the Henderson Detention Center where they face charges of robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, first-degree kidnapping and grand larceny auto, police said. The youngest suspect was taken to the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center.
